GST accounting for India
GST accounting software that adds up as you invoice.
Every invoice and bill carries its GST, split into CGST and SGST or IGST, so your return figures come from your books. GST is part of PrimoERP’s accounting, not a separate tool.
- CGST, SGST and IGST
- GSTIN and HSN on every invoice
- Input tax credit
- TDS
Does GST time look like this?
be honestThe return starts with an export.
Someone pulls sales and purchases into Excel, splits CGST, SGST and IGST by hand and hopes nothing was missed.
Input tax credit slips through.
A supplier bill entered late, or never, is GST you paid and may not get back.
One wrong state, one wrong tax.
IGST where CGST and SGST were due, or the other way round, and the invoice is redone with the customer waiting.

Everything GST needs, in your books.
GST questions people ask us.
Is PrimoERP GST accounting software?
Yes. GST is part of PrimoERP’s accounting: every invoice and bill carries its GST, and each period’s totals come from the same books. There is no separate GST spreadsheet.
How do I file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B?
PrimoERP prepares the figures for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B from your books, and you file them on the GST portal. Filing is copying totals, not building them.
Does it handle CGST, SGST and IGST?
Yes. PrimoERP compares the two GSTINs and the place of supply on each invoice, then applies CGST and SGST for a sale within your state, or IGST for a sale to another state.
What happens when GST rates change?
Rates are kept as data in the India pack, each with the date it starts, and updated centrally. A rate change does not need a new version, and an invoice dated before the change keeps the old rate.
Does it handle TDS?
Yes. TDS is worked out on the bills you pay, and TDS your customers deduct is recorded against their invoice. TDS on salaries is part of payroll.
We use Tally or Excel today. Can we move?
Yes. We bring in your customers, suppliers, items and opening balances, then check the numbers with you before you go live.
How long does it take to set up?
[Typical go-live time, to confirm.] Setup, data migration and training come as an onboarding package with a published price, and we sit with you in go-live week.
